Born in Iran and raised in Dubai, U.A.E., Lina Husseini received her Advanced degree from University of Cambridge and Oxford University. She then graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Florida International University and cum laude from F.I.U. College of Law. Ms. Husseini was a member of the Board of Advocates at FIU College of Law, receiving runner-up brief and oral advocacy awards in the intramural appellate advocacy competition and was a semi-finalist at the Orseck Florida Appellate Competition. Ms. Husseini also served as a student-attorney in the Carlos A. Costa Immigration and Human Rights Clinic. As a student in the immigration clinic, Ms. Husseini represented clients before the Executive Office for Immigration Review. As part of the clinical program, Ms. Husseini also served as counsel for a class action lawsuit before the United States Court for the Southern District of Florida. Ms. Husseini is currently admitted to practice law in Florida. Ms. Husseini joined the firm in October 2006 as the sole associate for the Law Offices of Maria E. Corredor, P.A. In March 2010 she was named partner. Ms. Husseini's practice concentrates on first party insurance claims, where she has successfully argued summary judgments on a range of issues and tried several cases over the years. Ms. Husseini is fluent in Farsi and proficient in French.
